Lullaby (Brass Band)

Originally a piece for solo cello and orchestra, this piece has been ‘Pick of the Week’ on Classic FM and ‘Presenter’s Choice’ on BBC Radio 3. The piece centres around a folk-like pentatonic melody in solos for the Flugel and Euphonium before being taken up by the whole band. After a rhapsodic episode the piece comes to a quiet, reflective close.
