Amazing Grace (Saxhorn Series)

The Saxhorn Series is a collection of pieces — some original, some arrangements of well-known existing pieces — that came about after a conversation with Katrina Marzella, who runs a Saxhorn festival dedicated to tenor and baritone horns. This is my setting of the great spiritual, ‘Amazing Grace’. I have completely re-harmonised the original with the aim of creating a musical texture made up of carefully interwoven lines that are rewarding for all players.
